Orange Chocolate Brownie|Recipe
Updated: Mar 19, 2020
Pure. Chocolate. Heaven. With Orange Freshness. Oh La La La.
I had not baked for last 3 years!
The apartment we were living had no oven and those oven cum microwave's never truly made me happy baking. But as we got our kitchen renovated, this delight is what I first made to inaugurate my new oven. Whoop whoop!
Not exaggerating, this is the best chocolate brownie I made in life. It is so fresh for the fresh oranges in the recipe. No more wasting time, let's dive in to the recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
2 eggs
Ready made Brownie Mix (There was no all purpose flour available in my nearby supermarkets, due to Corona. But if you have it at home, use it. All you need is some dark chocolate powder or blocks).
Fresh Orange
Brown Sugar
Butter
Hot Water
Mixing Bowl, Spatula, Baking Mold
PROCEDURE:
Wash a orange well, cut into thin wedges.
Put the wedges in a bowl, add 1 tablespoon brown sugar and add 1 cup hot water. Let it rest.
In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs until a frothy texture.
Add brownie mixture (or flour and chocolate powder), melted butter. Incorporate all together.
Separate the orange wedges, mix the orange infused sugar water to the brownie mix if/as much needed for a gooey consistency.
Mix pecan nuts and pieces of orange in the cake batter.
Spray oil/butter in the mold and spread evenly the batter.
Put the orange wedges on top.
BAKING:
Pre-heat the oven at 160°C
Place the mold
Bake for 25 minutes (for a well baked brownie).
Bake for 18 minutes if you like your brownie to be bit gooey consistency
Once done, take out of the oven. Let it cool completely.
Voila! I enjoy these slices with a cup of tea. But you can enjoy whichever way you like :)
